Employment Exchange Registration in Assam is a compulsory process for persons seeking government employment within the State. Managed by the Department of Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship, Assam, this registration provides job seekers with a unique registration number essential for applying to various government job opportunities. As of September 27, 2021, the registration process has been fully digitised, allowing applicants to register online through the official portal.
"Candidates registered with Employment Exchanges of Assam before January 2nd, 2024, are advised to re-register via SEWA SETU portal by December 31st, 2024 for convenience."

Eligibility:-Minimum age 14 years and above or, Candidates permanent residents of Assam can register in the Assam Employment Exchange.
District:- Only one Candidate are District employment exchange in Assam within which they are permanent residents.
Registration mode:- Registration is available online through both AADHAAR-based and non-AADHAAR-based modes.

Domicile:- Candidates can be permanent residents of any district of Assam and can register employment exchange within that district.
NOC:- Employed applicants seeking better job opportunities must provide a “No Objection Certificate” from their current employer to register.

Candidates are required to apply through the official website for AADHAAR-based or non-AADHAAR-based verification.
👉Aadhar based verification:-
To register using AADHAAR-based verification
1. Go to the official portal via the "Important Web-Link's" section.
2. Click on the Employment Exchange Registration links.
3. Open the portal and click Register. Enter your details and submit.
4. Choose Apply with AADHAAR, then log in using your credentials and OTP/password.
5. Fill in all required information.
6. All education certificates or mark-sheets as a single PDF upload.
7. After submission, your Exchange Card will be email sen to you.
👉Non-aadhar based verification Steps:-
1. Go to the official portal via the "Important Web-Link's" section.
2. Click on the Employment Exchange Registration links.
3. Register by entering your details and submit.
4. Choose Apply without AADHAAR.
5. Log in with your credentials.
6. Fill in personal and educational details.
7. Schedule a date and time for document verification.
8. Visit the Employment Exchange nearest office for verification.
9. Follow official instructions and receive your Registration Certificate.

👉Educational Documents: All pass certificates and mark sheets must be scanned clearly and combined into a single readable PDF; unclear documents may lead to rejection.
