Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam has issued two recruitment notifications for filling up 228 Special Educator vacancies in Lower Primary and Upper Primary schools under DEE Assam. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications online.

Pay scale:
LP: Pay Band – 2 (PB-2) @ Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- plus Grade Pay Rs 7400/-
UP: Pay Band – 2 (PB-2) @ Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- plus Grade Pay Rs 8700/-
Educational Qualification:
Special Educator (LP School):
a) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education), recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
b) The candidate must have the ATET/CTET passed certificate for LP Schools.
Special Educator (UP School):
a) Graduate with at least 50% marks and B.Ed. (Special Education), recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
b) The candidate must have the ATET/CTET passed certificate for UP Schools.
Medium of Instruction: Either the Language-I or the Language-II of both ATET and CTET candidates shall match the medium of instruction of the School wherein the candidate wishes to apply.
Eligibility Criteria of DEE Assam Recruitment 2025.
Age Limit: A candidate must not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years for unreserved category, 42 years for Ex-Servicemen, 43 years for OBC/MOBC and 45 years for SC/ST(P)/ST(H) and 50 years for Persons with Disability (PwD), as on 1st August, 2025.
Small Family Norms: No person having more than two living children on or after 01.01.2021 from a single or multiple partners shall be eligible for appointment as per the Govt. policy on Small Family Norms.
Citizenship: Candidates must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and permanent residents of Assam.
Documents required to be submitted in colour:
a. Passport Size Photograph.
b. HSLC Admit Card.
c. HSSLC Mark-sheet and Certificate.
d. Any other Mark-sheet and Certificate of higher education.
e. Diploma in Special Education Mark sheet and Certificate (Recognized By RCI).
f. Document in support of Permanent Resident of Assam.
g. Certificate and Mark sheet of ATET/CTET.
h. Candidates with disabilities will have to enclose certificates of disabilities issued by Govt.
authority.
i. Certificate of Ex-servicemen issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board
j. Working experience certificate (if any)
