Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) has announced 98 vacancies for Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) and Assistant Officer Trainee posts. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online.
NRL GET and Officer Recruitment 2025 Post Details:
1. Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) - E2 Grade
No of posts: 92 posts
Branch wise vacancy:
- Civil: 4
- Mechanical: 12
- Instrumentation: 10
- Electrical: 10
- Metallurgy: 2
- Chemical: 53
- Computer Science: 1
Educational Qualification: First Class Bachelor's degree in the relevant branch of engineering with a minimum of 65% marks from a recognised university/ institute, approved by AICTE/UGC .
2. Assistant Officer Trainee (AOT) - E1 Grade
No of posts: 06 posts
Educational Qualification: NET/ GATE qualified 1st class Post Graduates from a recognised university/ institute, approved by AICTE/UGC .
Eligibility Criteria of NRL GET and Officer Recruitment.
Age Limit: Upper age limit as on 10/10/2025 is 30 years.

Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.
- SC: 5 years
- ST: 5 years
- OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
Application fee:-
An application fee of Rs 1000/- plus GST must be paid via online mode before final submission of the application. Candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwBD categories are exempted from payment of the application fee.

Selection Process:
a) The selection process will consist of a Computer Based Test (CBT) and a Personal Interview (PI).
b) All candidates who claim to fulfill the eligibility criteria will be allowed to appear in the CBT without prior verification of eligibility.
c) Computer Based Test for Graduate Engineer Trainees (GET):
The test will be objective type with no negative marking and will comprise four sections:
Section A: Subject Knowledge – Questions related to the qualifying degree for the applied position.
Section B: General Knowledge/Current Affairs
Section C: Knowledge of English Language
Section D: Reasoning & Numerical Ability
80% of the questions will be from Section A.
d) Computer Based Test for Assistant Officer Trainees (AOT):
The test will be objective type with no negative marking and will comprise three sections:
Section A: General Knowledge (including Indian & World Energy Scenario)
Section B: Reasoning & Numerical Ability
Section C: Knowledge of English Language
60% of the questions will be from Section A.
e) Candidates qualifying in the CBT, in order of merit, will be shortlisted for the Personal Interview in a 1:5 ratio.
f) Candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks in both stages (CBT and PI, separately) to be eligible for consideration in the selection process.
g) The final selection will be based on:
85% weightage from CBT
15% weightage from PI
An Offer of Appointment will be issued to selected candidates in order of merit, subject to the availability of vacancies and pre-employment medical fitness.
