The Project Management Unit (PMU) of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), assisting the Assam State Aquaculture Promotion and Livelihood Improvement (ASAPALI) Project under the Department of Fisheries, Government of Assam, has issued an employment notification for the recruitment of 9 posts, including Aquaculture Specialist, Procurement Specialist, Junior Project Engineer, DX Assistant, Supporting Staff, Fishery Expert, and Account and MIS Consultant. Fishery Department Recruitment 2026
1. Aquaculture Specialist
No of posts: 01 post
Remuneration: Rs.1.00 lakhs to
Rs.1.25 lakhs per month.
Educational Qualification: Post
Graduate/Graduate Degree in fisheries from the ICAR recognized universities
Experience: Minimum 10 years of
work experience in aquaculture field under Public sector/Private
sector/Externally aided Project (EAP).
2. Procurement Specialist
No of posts: 01 post
Remuneration: Rs 1.00 lakhs to Rs
1.10 lakhs per month.
Educational Qualification:
Minimum Post Graduate Degree in Fisheries or Agricultural Economics/ MBA in
Agriculture and allied subjects/Master Degree or Graduate Engineers in any
discipline from any Govt. recognized university/institution and fully trained
in procurement norms of the JICA/ADB/World Bank or externally funding Agency.
Experience: Minimum 7 Years’ experience in Procurement Management function in any public/private sector agency with a minimum 4 years of experience in managing procurement in a World Bank/Asian Development Bank/JICA or similar Externally Aided Project (EAP). Candidates having hands on experience in eprocurement system of the government may be preferred. Experience of Procurement in a JICA Funded projects will be added advantage.
3. Junior Project Engineer
No of posts: 01 post
Remuneration: Rs. 0.50 lakhs to
Rs.0.60 lakhs per month.
Educational Qualification:
Graduate in Civil/Architectural Engineering or equivalent from recognized
University/Institute.
Experience: Minimum 5 Years Experience in Construction related projects including building planning, Design; Auto CAD and other Autodesk products for 2D & 3D Design, engineering and visualization in public sector/private sector/EAP projects.
4. DX Assistant
No of posts: 01 post
Remuneration: Rs. 0.50 to Rs.
0.60 lakhs per month.
Educational Qualification:
Graduate/PG Diploma in information technology, Computer Science or related
fields.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of
experience in digital transformation projects, with design and building
information-sharing platforms and similar field including computer program
planning. Preference will be given to those who has one year experience in any
Externally Aided Project (EAP)/National Flagship Program.
Computer Skills: The consultant must have proficiency in the use of Internet, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint and analysis skill of project Data and will assist day to day basis for preparation of all such data to DX Expert.
5. Supporting Staff (Computer
Assistant)
No of posts: 01 post
Remuneration: Rs. 0.40 lakhs per
month.
Educational Qualification:
Graduate in any discipline with minimum 6 months certificate course in
information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: Working experience is
not mandatory but preferred at least having one working experience in
Govt./Semi Government/private organization.
Computer Skills: The consultant
must have proficiency in the use of Internet, MS Word, MS Excel and MS
PowerPoint and analysis skill of project Data and will assist day to day basis
for preparation of all such data to PMU.
Language: Reading and writing English. Candidates with knowledge of local language will be preferred.
6. Fishery Expert
No of posts: 02 posts
Remuneration: Rs. 0.50 to Rs.
0.60 lakhs per month.
Educational Qualification: B.F.Sc
from ICAR recognized Universities/ Institutes.
Experience: Preference will be
given to those having 5 years working experience in inland aquaculture
production related field out of which minimum two years’ experience in any
Externally Aided Projects (EAPs) like World Bank, Asian Development Bank etc.
Computer Skills: The consultant must have proficiency in the use of Internet, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point and will assist day to day basis for preparation of all such data to DPO cum DFDO.
7. Account and MIS Consultant
No of posts: 01 post
Remuneration: Rs. 0.40 to Rs.
0.50 lakhs per month.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor in Commerce/Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with
specialization in Accounting or Finance/Bachelor of Accounting from recognized
University.
Experience: Minimum five years
work experience in handling audit and account, proficiency in accounting
software like Tally, etc. out of which minimum 2 years of experience in working
with any EAP project like World Bank, JICA, ADB etc.
Computer Skills: The consultant must have proficiency in the use of Internet, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint and will assist DPO cum DFDO day to day basis for preparation of all such data as required under the project.
8. Supporting Staff (Computer
Assistant)
No of posts: 01 post
Remuneration: Rs. 0.30 lakhs per
month.
Educational Qualification:
Graduate in any discipline with minimum 6 months certificate course in
information technology, Computer Science or a related field.
Experience: Working experience is
not mandatory but preferred at least having one working experience in
Govt./Semi Government/private organization.
Computer Skills: The consultant
must have proficiency in the use of Internet, MS Word, MS Excel and MS
PowerPoint and analysis skill of project Data and will assist day to day basis
for preparation of all such data to DPMU.
