Selection Process:

The recruitment process consists of three stages:


Stage 1: Written Test (120 Marks)


Duration: 2 hours (OMR based, multiple choice)


Subjects:


General English – 50 Marks


General Knowledge (incl. Computer Knowledge) – 30 Marks


General Aptitude – 20 Marks


Assamese Language: 20 Marks (Qualifying in nature; candidates must secure at least 8 marks to qualify)


Negative Marking: For every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.


Note: Assamese language marks are not counted in merit list.


Candidates in 1:5 ratio (5 times the total vacancies of each district) will qualify for the next stage.


Stage 2: Computer Skill Test (35 Marks)


a) Typing Test – 20 Marks


Accuracy & typing speed in WPM


b) MS Word & Excel Proficiency – 15 Marks


Stage 3: Viva-Voce (15 Marks)


Candidates in the ratio of 1:3 (i.e., three times the number of district-wise vacancies) will be shortlisted based on the combined marks obtained in the Written Examination and Computer Skill Test.


Final Selection:

Selection will be based on the total score out of 150 marks (Written Test: 100, Computer Skill Test: 35, and Viva-voce: 15). In case of tie, preference will be given to:


✒Higher marks in Written + Skill Test combined


✒If still same, senior in age


Note: The High Court may set cut-off marks for different stages.
