Directorate of Town & Country Planning Assam Recruitment 2026
1. Specialist Architect
Total Posts: 02
Remuneration: ₹1,20,000/- PM
Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture with a
Master’s in Urban Design or Landscape Architecture.
Experience: Minimum 12 years in architectural design, building
bylaws, and high-rise/urban projects.
Preferred Skills. Familiarity with Assam’s Building Bylaws, TOD, and LAP; experience in urban parks and street design.
Expected Duration of Contract: Initially for a period of 11 months with
possibility of renewal
depending on the performance.
Location: Guwahati with travels to other districts of Assam
2. GIS Expert
Total Posts: 02
Remuneration: ₹1,00,000/- PM
Essential Qualification: M.Sc./M.Tech/MA in GIS, Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, or Geomatics. Alternatively, B.Plan/M.Plan with GIS and RS.
Experience: 10+ years of experience in GIS spatial analysis and urban planning projects.
Expected Duration of Contract: Initially for a period of 11 months with
possibility of renewal
depending on the performance.
Location: Guwahati with travels to other districts of Assam
3. GIS Assistant
Total Posts: 04
Remuneration: ₹75,000/- PM
Essential Qualification: M.Sc./M.Tech/MA in Remote Sensing, GIS, Geoinformatics, or Geography. Alternatively, B.Plan/M.Plan with GIS.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in GIS spatial analysis, including expertise in ArcGIS, QGIS, and AutoCAD.
Expected Duration of Contract: Initially for a period of 11 months with
possibility of renewal
depending on the performance.
Location: In Guwahati; maybe assigned to other districts as well
Age Limit: Not more than 35 years
of age as on 1st January 2026
The employees will not be permitted to take up any other assignments during the period.
