PNRD Assam Recruitment 2026 written exam syllabus

 

The candidates whose applications are accepted will be required to appear in a written Examination which will be conducted in the various selected centres in the state. The Commissioner, P&RD will intimate the name of centre in the Admission Certificate of the Written Examination.

Written Exam:

 

There will be two written examinations.

 

  • Paper 1: For the posts of Gaon Panchayat Coordinator/Computer Assistant/ Gram Rojgar Sahayak.
  • Paper 2: For the post of Accredited Engineer.


Note: 

 

1. A candidate may apply separately for the written examinations for Paper-1 and Paper-2, provided that he or she should fulfill the eligibility criteria.


2. Candidates are required to submit their preference for the posts of Gaon Panchayat Coordinator, Computer Assistant, or Gram Rojgar Sahayak for selection under the Paper-1 Examination.

 

Exam Centre: As per permanent address, the examination center will be provided the exam conducting authority.

 

Maximum Marks: The written test will be of 75 marks and will be completely OMR based. There will be 75 questions and each question will be of 1(one) mark.

 

Negative Marking: There is negative marking, of 0.25 mark per question carrying 1 mark each and of 0.5 mark per question carrying 2 marks each, for wrong answer as well as for selecting more than one option of a question.

 

Syllabus: The questions will be set in five parts as mentioned below:

 

1.Domain Knowledge (Post-specific)

 

Questions related to the qualification required for the post.

 

Example (for Accredited Engineer – Civil):

 

  • Building Materials & Construction 
  • Strength of Materials & Theory of Structures 
  • RCC & Steel Structures 
  • Fluid Mechanics & Hydraulics 
  • Hydrology & Water Resources Engineering 
  • Environmental Engineering 
  • Transportation Engineering 
  • Soil Mechanics & Foundation Engineering 
  • Estimation, Costing & Construction Management 
  • Surveying 
  • For other posts, domain knowledge may include rural development schemes, administration, or subject knowledge based on the job role.

 

2.Computer Proficiency

 

Basic computer knowledge such as:

3.Logical Reasoning & Aptitude

Exam Pattern (PNRD Assam)

 

Total Questions: 75

 

Exam Duration: 2 hours

 

OMR based test

 

Negative marking:

 

  • −0.25 for 1-mark question 
  • −0.5 for 2-mark question

After written exam: Viva (25 marks)
