CSIR NEIST Jorhat Notification

CSIR NEIST Jorhat Skill Development Training Program 2026: CSIR–North East Institute of Science and Technology (CSIR-NEIST), Jorhat has invited applications from eligible Indian citizens for admission into various Skill Development Training Programs under the CSIR Integrated Skill Initiative. The programme aims to provide industry-relevant skills and enhance employability among youth.

A total of 390 seats are available across multiple basic and advanced training courses. Eligible candidates can submit their applications in the prescribed format through email on or before 28th June 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

  • Maximum Age: 38 Years
  • Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government norms.

Educational Qualification

Basic Training

  • Welding, Fitting, Plumbing and Assistant Electrician: Class 10 Pass.
  • 2D & 3D AutoCAD Drafting (Mechanical): Class 10 / ITI / Diploma / Degree.
  • Jacquard Weaving: Women candidates will be preferred.
  • Plant Tissue Culture Technician: 10+2 (Science preferred).
  • Animal Attendant: 10+2 (Science preferred) / ITI.
  • Other Courses: Minimum Class 8 Pass.

Advanced Training

  • CNC Turning & Machining: ITI (Machinist/Turner) or Diploma in Mechanical/Allied Subject.
  • Advanced Welding: ITI in Welding or Diploma in Mechanical/Allied Subject.
  • AI – Machine Learning: Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering Discipline.
  • Field Technician – Networking & Storage: BCA, B.Sc (IT), B.Sc (Computer Science) or Diploma in Computer, IT, Electronics, Electrical, ECE, Instrumentation etc.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on:

  • Percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination, OR
