Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates should possess a Graduate degree in any of the following disciplines:
- Plantation Management
- Engineering
- Agriculture
- Bio-Science
- Science
- Arts
- Commerce
A 2-year Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Management or Agricultural Science is preferably mentioned in the advertisement.
Experience
The recruitment is intended for highly experienced retired professionals having substantial experience in Tea Plantation Management.
For Government/CPSE/SPSU and other eligible organizations, the advertisement specifies senior executive-level experience along with extensive post-qualification experience in tea plantation management.
For private sector/research organization candidates, experience with reputed tea companies, Tea Research Association (TRA), UPASI Tea Research Foundation, Indian Tea Association, Tea Board or other recognized tea research/industry organizations may be considered.

Roles and Responsibilities
The Expert (Tea Plantation) will provide strategic and technical advisory support to the tea gardens.
- Advising tea gardens on improved agronomic practices.
- Recommending measures to improve crop productivity, quality and cost efficiency.
- Providing guidance on soil health, nutrient management and water conservation.
- Advising on pest and disease management.
- Providing recommendations for pruning, infilling, replanting and nursery development.
- Supporting sustainability standards and certification requirements.
- Reviewing plantation performance and identifying operational gaps.
- Advising management on modernization and sustainable development of tea estates.
The Expert will work in an advisory capacity and will not exercise statutory, financial, administrative or disciplinary powers vested in company executives.
Salary / Remuneration
Maximum: 15 days per month
Company transport: As specified
TA/DA: Applicable for official tours as per the advertisement
No PF contribution, HRA or medical benefits will be admissible. Applicable Income Tax/TDS will be deducted according to the rules.

Selection Process
