Educational Qualification & Eligibility
1. Scientist-D
Maximum Age: 50 years.
First Class Master's Degree in Environmental Science/Natural Science OR First Class Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology in Environmental, Chemical, Civil, Energy and Environment or Biotechnology. The candidate must also meet the prescribed publication requirements.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of relevant practical experience in river pollution prevention/control, industrial pollution, sewage management or environmental management.
2. Scientist-C
Maximum Age: 45 years.
First Class Master's Degree in Environmental Science/Natural Science OR First Class Bachelor's Degree in the specified Engineering/Technology disciplines, along with the prescribed publication requirements.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant practical experience.
3. Scientist-B
Maximum Age: 35 years.
First Class Master's Degree in Environmental Science/Natural Science OR First Class Bachelor's Degree in the specified Engineering/Technology disciplines.
A valid GATE score with 90% or above percentile / NET-JRF qualification is required.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Research/teaching experience may also be considered.
4. Assistant Manager (Finance)
Maximum Age: 35 years.
First Class Master's Degree in Commerce with Finance & Accounting/Taxation OR Chartered Accountant OR MBA in Finance & Accounting.
Experience: 8 years of post-qualification relevant experience, including taxation, accounting, Tally/QuickBooks, online return filing and payroll-related work.
5. Administrative Assistant
Maximum Age: 35 years.
First Class Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or equivalent with working knowledge of computers.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of post-qualification administrative experience. Candidates must also pass the noting and drafting skill test.
6. Scientific Assistant
Maximum Age: 35 years.
First Class Master's Degree in Environmental Science/Natural Science OR First Class Bachelor's Degree in the specified Engineering/Technology disciplines.
A valid GATE score with 90% or above percentile / NET-JRF qualification is required.
7. Taxonomist
Maximum Age: 35 years.
First Class M.Sc. is essential. Master's Degree in Botany or Zoology with minimum 75% marks or equivalent is desirable. The notification also specifies GATE/NET-JRF and publication/technical report requirements.
8. Data Entry Operator
Maximum Age: 32 years.
First Class Bachelor's Degree in Science/BCA.
Candidates must pass the MS Office skill test and have English typing speed of 45 WPM and Hindi typing speed of 35 WPM.
9. Field Assistant
Maximum Age: 27 years.
Passed 10+2 in Science with minimum 55% marks. Knowledge of water/wastewater sampling and sample preservation is required.
Place of Posting
The advertised places of posting are Lucknow, Kolkata, Chandigarh and CPCB Head Office, Delhi. CPCB may post selected candidates at any of these locations according to its requirements.
