Educational Qualification
Candidates must already possess the prescribed qualification on the eligibility cut-off date. Candidates whose qualifying examination result is awaited are not eligible.
- For Codes 101 and 103: B.Sc. with Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry.
- For Code 107: Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Instrumentation & Electronics, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.
- The qualification must be from a recognized University/Institute and must be a regular full-time course.
- Generally, candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in aggregate. The minimum is 45% for SC/ST and PwBD candidates against reserved seats.
- Diploma/Graduation in branches other than those specifically mentioned in the notification will not be considered.
- Part-time, correspondence or distance-mode qualifications are not eligible.
Candidates with higher professional qualifications such as BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB, MCA or equivalent qualifications, or candidates pursuing higher qualifications that will be completed before joining apprenticeship, are not eligible under the notification.
Age Limit
The age of the candidate will be calculated as on 30 September 2026.

- Maximum Age: 24 years
- Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD candidates will be provided according to applicable Government guidelines.
The Class X/Matriculation certificate issued by the concerned Board of Secondary Education will be accepted as the document for proof of date of birth.
Important Eligibility Conditions
- Candidates must apply for only one Trade/Discipline.
- A candidate with B.Sc. in the specified subjects can apply for either Code 101 or Code 103, but not both.
- Applicants who have completed five years after obtaining the prescribed qualification are not eligible.
- Engineering Graduate/Diploma/Vocational Certificate holders with one year or more job experience after obtaining the qualification are not eligible.
- Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training may be eligible in certain circumstances, subject to the conditions specified in the notification.

Selection Process
