1. Chief Climate Officer
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in any of the following disciplines:
- Environmental Planning
- Ecology
- Environmental Engineering
A Ph.D. in the above-mentioned subject areas is preferred.
Work Experience
- Preferably 12 years of professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Director, Team Manager, Team Leader or Project Manager.
- Experience working with advisory, consultancy, PMC or SPV organisations serving government departments or agencies at city, state, regional or national level.
- Experience in climate change, environmental planning, ecological conservation or related projects integrated with urban management.
- Familiarity with Google, Adobe and Microsoft tools, along with analytical software such as R, Python, SPSS, STATA or ArcGIS.
Experience in donor-funded urban governance programmes, policy reforms, project planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting will be desirable.
Major Responsibilities
- Manage the CITIIS 2.0 programme at the state level.
- Coordinate with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, National Institute of Urban Affairs and Government of Assam.
- Lead the preparation of climate-related policies and urban climate action initiatives.
- Coordinate with city- and state-level implementation agencies.
- Monitor key performance indicators and prepare climate-related reports.
2. Project Planning Officer
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in Urban Planning or Urban Design.
Work Experience
- Preferably 10 years of relevant project experience, particularly outside cities in the North-Eastern states.
- Experience in project planning and preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for urban projects.
- Experience in urban parks, forests, water-body restoration, street greening, public spaces, heat island mitigation, air quality and landscaping projects.
- Experience in project monitoring and evaluation, especially for government clients.
- Understanding of project funding and preparation of broad cost estimates.
- Experience preparing reports relating to programme funds and budgets.
Proficiency in design software for drawings and presentations and/or GIS analysis will be preferred.
Major Responsibilities
- Support blue-green urban development and sustainable urban transport projects.
- Assist with greening, avenue plantation, landscaping and energy-efficiency initiatives.
- Support solid waste management and water security through water-body rejuvenation.
- Help integrate climate-related projects with city master plans.
- Provide technical support for climate-budget preparation at the department level and Guwahati city level.
